Bike Rides, Musicals and Grilling

Dan and I rode to Ruth’s on Saturday morning. We’ve planned to take a long bike ride each Saturday. Ruth's is about 21 miles roundtrip – a good place to start at the beginning of the summer. (Hike on Wednesday, ride on Saturday.)

That night we saw the musical "Tuck Everlasting" with Mom and Marge at Hale Theater. It was SO GOOD! The music was beautiful and the lyrics especially poignant. Tuck Everlasting was one of our favorite books growing up. I remember when my mom read it to the family and all of us loving it.

Sunday was another beautiful day. We hadn’t planned ahead on what to grill, but Dan rummaged up all the ingredients for fajitas – grilling the chicken and the peppers. They were delicious and we are still in love with eating on our back patio. By 5:30, the sun was heading behind the trees and it was already getting shady and comfortable. The days haven’t been too hot yet. We’re curious what it will feel like when the temp’s are warmer. So far it’s like eating dinner in heaven.

We finished the evening with all of us watching President Nelson's devotional to the youth. Great stuff. I loved that his wife spoke with him.
