Outside Harvest

We had friend's breakfast at KT's house today.
She'd forgotten until yesterday so had to "rummage" up food.

She made two fritattas with eggs from her chickens, herbs from her yard,
and early zucchini and squash from her garden.

A french toast casserole, probably from bread she made, but I forgot to ask.

Cherries from her dad's cherry tree,
and yogurt and granola (on hand from Costco) with blackberries we picked from her garden.

Talk about being self-sufficient.
And with all that good food, came lots of catching up and lots of laughs.

Tonight, Nick was golfing with friends and Dan had a dinner meeting.
I made dinner for one but still ate outside and it was delightful.
