Ski Jackson

We waited to get on the mountain until 11:00 when the temps got into double digits.
It was a bluebird day, we had enough gear to stay warm and the runs were wide open!
Our friends who ski Jackson Hole regularly said it's very uncommon to have clear skies and
the place to ourselves in January. It couldn't have been a more perfect day.

Em & Greg; Dan and Angela; Jenn & Mike and KT.
Sadly, Matz sprained his ankle in Sun Valley and couldn't ski with us today.

We stayed together most of the day and Jenn & Mike were super mountain hosts.
It made a difference having someone familiar with the lifts guiding us around.

The girls riding up together:

After lunch, the aggressive skiers took the tram and Em, KT and I
did a bunch of runs we were more comfortable with.

When we were done, we had the best hot chocolate (with cinammon -- thanks Michael!)
while we waited for the other group to finish.
Half of us were heading home straight from the slopes--
Em & Greg's daughter's mission call arrived that day and Matz and KT needed to get back.

While we were relaxing, the three guys and Jenn were exploring the higher elevations
and even got a look at Corbett's (closed right now, thank goodness.)

We made dinner at home with leftovers, sat in the sauna (Jenn and I) and played card games.
And couldn't stop talking about what an incredibly epic ski day it was.
