A Rainbow and Finally Sun

We woke up to sunshine and blue skies!
Actually, let me rephrase that...
We woke up at 4:45 again. While everything was pitch black we worked out and ate breakfast.
When the sun came up and we were showered and ready to spend the day at the beach.
It was only 7:45 a.m. and the views were sunshine and blue skies!

Only 15 minutes later as we were settling into a lounger,
the horizon got dark and the winds were so blowing all the pillows off the the couches.
(Yes, couches and beds at the beach. It seems amazing, until you consider it rains a ton here
and it takes a while for cushions to dry.)

We made it inside just as the rain began.

An hour later the skies had cleared and we were able to enjoy the morning and afternoon poolside.

I finished Prince Caspian and Dan finished The Horse and His Boy.
We got hot, cooled off in the pool, napped, read, drank pineapple-infused water
and had lunch delivered. It was heaven.
So were these chili/salted pineapple skewers.

The wind picked up again by 2:00 and we were ready to go back to our room
where we napped and read some more.

Also, look at my amazing luck this morning!
