Our Turn

Dan spoke in church today alongside Nick's friend, Ryan, who's leaving on his mission.
Good job, Dan.

Church Fit

This evening we went to the community production of Handel's Messiah.
It's had a thirty year run and now has grown so big the audience filled the high school auditorium.

Jack Ashton conducts the orchestra--he's a big deal in Utah.
A violinist with the Utah Symphony, he also was the orchestra teacher at Olympus for years,
and taught private lessons as well.
when he retired from teaching, he began a youth chamber orchestra program
(you had to audition for it--Marty was in the group led by his daughter.)
He's 86 and this was his last performance.

Dan was able to catch the first quarter of the Cowboys game while we waited for the concert to start.

Afterward we decorated our Christmas tree
and took turns putting the star on top.
We haven't had a turn for 27 years!
