Baby Shark and Bluey

We piled in the Bronco all together this morning for church.
Marty and Nick had to ride on the floor in the very back.
We didn't have any of Emi's music and ended up singing primary songs
and movement songs the whole way to keep her entertained.

Another just-for-fun band-aid for Emi

At church when she was fussy with her mom and dad, she was happy
to take turns on Grammy and Papa's laps.
Then when two little girls had a fun toy next to me,
Emi insisted on sitting on their mom's lap!
After a while I tried to encourage her to come back,
but she shook her head, saying "No-no." She was perfectly content on a stranger's lap
with fun toys and kids just a few years older than her!
What a cutie!

Before we left for home, we downloaded her favorite songs--
Baby Shark and the Bluey Theme Song and listened to them over and over on the way home!
She kept saying, “more more baby shark!”
Ba-by Shark da-da-di-da-di-da

After brunch at the picnic table, we watched Will R's farewell talk and had naps.

I thought it would be fun to take Emi's picture by this little pine tree
and we could watch them both grow together over the years!

We had to take this little family back to the airport this afternoon.
A quick trip, but we're so glad they joined us!
We loved their help and their company!

While we were gone, Nick and Camille hiked through Box Canyon.
When we got home, they were still gone.
A little while later I wondered if everything was okay.
Soon, they came home, but they'd been gone so long because the Ranger wouldn't start.
(Sooooo glad it was today at the Box and not Friday when they went to Sally's Overlook!)

They walked to Old Camp and got an ATV to come back home.
Dan went with them in the Bronco to jump start the Ranger.
It started, but was a little temperamental and wouldn't start again without getting jumped.
Ugh.
If it isn't one thing, it's another!

JD, Marty and Erin came back again tonight for a potluck dinner and a game of 31.
