Keep on Moving

Today was a shopping day and let's just say four hours in Walmart is NOT fun.
But that's how long it took and we resumed our roles that worked so well with the bunkhouse move:
Dan comes in with me to Walmart to get about 20 towel sets--all the tans and most grays they had--and all the twin sized mattress pads they had (five). He checks out and loads up the car while I continue shopping. Then goes to Ace to pick up a chain saw and tools and go to town for some other errands.

When he arrives back, my cart is overflowing.
He brings me an empty one and takes the full one and SELF-CHECKED OUT
because the lines were so long! And didn't even grumble about it.
Repeat two more times.

So now our entry which was mostly clean is now covered with more stuff to find a home for.

While we were in town, the boys were laying sod again.
They had an 8:00 a.m. start time and worked for six hours straight,
finishing just as we arrived home so we all ate lunch together.
(We received lots of gratitude from the landscapers for their help!)
The last of the sod deliveries comes next week, finishing off the back of house.

Sprinklers and sod for the space behind main house and bunk and into front yard
doesn't happen until the fall. Also, pray for rain. We have a sprinkler system,
but we use the irrigation which will dry up early if we don't have July monsoons.

Robin, Ray and Anna Ball, our nearest neighbors came by today to discuss property management.
As luck would have it, that's their primary business.
They can do anything and everything which is fortunate, because we've been hoping they could.
I've just ordered a huge Amazon shipment to be delivered to their place which they'll in turn bring to ours.

No plumber again today but the ribs turned out fantastic in spite of being cooked in an oven instead of a steam oven (or on the grill). Now Dan's rethinking the need for a steam oven. It's all a confidence thing.

We sat at the fire tonight for a little bit.
The boys slept from the time they finished laying sod until it was time for dinner.
We've declared tomorrow a day off.
We all need it.
