EC joined us for Sam's homecoming and celebration at the Adair home afterward.
Sam gave a FANTASTIC talk and powerful testimony.
So nice to gather with family in their yard. It was such a gorgeous Sunday.
We attended the farewell for Luke A. in the afternoon and I was having a reflective mom moment
seeing Anders and Nick sitting in church next to each other and remembering their younger years when those three were inseparable. He's always had the nicest friends.
Nick had to move out of his dorm sometime this week, but we're headed out of town.
So he decided he'd make the move today when Dan could help
and then Chris offered to help as well. That trio made much faster work of the job than if mom was there trying to keep it all organized! Ha!
EC mentioned one thing on her Salt Lake summer bucket list she hadn't yet done
was visit her mother's grave.
"Let's go!" I said.
But she didn't want to bother me with a long drive.
So I looked up the address and the cemetery was only 20 minutes away!
It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.
We weren't sure where to look, but EC remembered the approximate area.
Fortunately the offices were open for a viewing and happy to look up the directions.
With a little guidance, we found it in no time.
Margaret Holmes Weaver, July 20, 1898 - May 9, 1965.
Buried next to EC's older brother, Gary Weaver,
and Gary and Nana's baby who only lived one day.
I loved sharing this day together.
Dan grilled steaks and we had a lovely dinner outside.
Our first time eating on the patio all summer because it's been too hot before now
(and we've been traveling a lot).
Gram was going to get an Uber home and then Chris offered to drive her back to Jo Ellen's.
Just a really nice day with kindness and love and good feelings all day.
