Hey, Miles!

Enjoying my Friday night binging "Only Murders in the Building."
Impossible to go wrong with leads Steve Martin and Martin Short.
Selena Gomez rounds out the trio and the combination is perfection.

Nick was at a friend's house so I thought I was alone (Dan is still out of town),
when I looked up and saw a tall mustachioed kid standing in my kitchen.
He said hello which I verbally returned yet speedily scanned through
photos and names in my brain to find a match. Who was he? Am I about to be robbed? Murdered?
It was a bit surreal for a moment.

The next second he started talking and was very friendly, and I realized he was Miles!
I'd missed Nick's text saying he was coming over and Nick would be home soon.

We had the best conversation while we waited for Nick.
He didn't hesitate to sit down near me in the family room and answered my questions with details and explanations about his new school, his basketball team, bitcoin mining and cars he's working on.
He was so delightful! It had been a while since these two hung out and it was so fun to catch up.

Earlier today I was at Barnes & Noble and have to say am always baffled when I see books by different authors with similar (one time the same!) covers. I think it's just weird!

What? and Why?

I love this! Im sure you were surprised by a random person in your kitchen, lol! Our boys are growing up! Miles was catching me up on what Nicks been up to. And I love that show too just started watching it last week on our girls trip. So many Orphan themed books! I read the Orphan Train. Then there was “Before you were ours” or whatever, I can’t keep them straight. So there are two more with the same cover.
