Pretend

Dan and I started watching Manifest last night where a jet plane disappears for five years and then suddenly reappears and the passengers re-enter their lives.
But of course after so much time with their loved ones presumed dead,
one spouse has a boyfriend and a fiance got married to someone else.

A plane getting lost in a time continuum obviously won't happen,
BUT, having an accident and going into a coma then waking up after five years IS possible.
So our conversations today have revolved around,
"If I were in a coma for five years and then woke up, would you..."

...divorce me so you can move on with your life? be remarried? finish Pagosa? spend my money?
and... how would the trust work? what about life insurance?
what to do if you're in love with two people?
and of course: how long until we pull the plug?
(first I said one week then Dan said it has to at least be three.
Somewhere between three weeks and three months. But that's it.)

Making plans for tonight and trying to decide whether to go out or stay in,
we decided to go out, because what if this is our last date before one of us gets in a coma?
