Moving On Up

Today was move-in day for Chris!
His new apartment is really nice with great views
and he's super excited to live on his own.

He used all of Nick's furniture which was a lot of pilfered home furniture
(extras--I was actually glad to have a use for it!)
and sweet talked me into a couch and a couple of chairs as well.

Between the three of us the move went really quickly
(especially since he only has the bare basics for his kitchen, so there weren't boxes and boxes of heavy dishes and kitchen appliances).

Then we dashed out to HomeGoods, World Market, Target and back downtown to buy barstools
from KSL Classifieds. Would anyone be surprised that when we walked to the door, it turned out to be a pledge brother of Chris? They gave him the barstools for free.
Everywhere we go, we run into friends of Chris.

Then back to Millcreek for four kitchen chairs for $40. Now he just needs a table to go with them.

While we were moving furniture, our sunroom deck was getting repaired.
A couple of weeks ago I noticed buckling in the sunroom ceiling.

Then I noticed the sunroom deck tiles were sunken!
The roofers came right away and it was clear we had a leak.

Grateful for a team that could start right away.
Of course, the rain isn't helping.
