Nothing transports you so fully as
getting on a plane first thing in the morning in the cold and rain
and arriving in NYC at dinnertime and taking a nighttime, jackets off walk uptown.
Wrote 2000 words for a new novel and quite taken with my older character
(someone I've never met before, whereas Jill in my current book is a lot like me).
Came to New York to watch Michael run the marathon,
check in on our apartment under construction since I'm here,
eat dinners with Courtney and Michael, and enjoy some alone time.
