Steep Drops, Sharp Rocks, Big Crocs

A few people who'd originally planned to go today bailed because we're exhausted!
Today's excursion had us leaving at 8:00 a.m. and getting back at 4:00 p.m.

A commenter described today's river rafting as:
Steep Drops, Sharp Rocks, Big Crocs

The guides clarified there were crocodiles in this river, just not in this part of the river.
So we were a little nervous. I mean, who wants to go swimming with crocodiles?
Then the more experienced river rafters of our group started talking about what to do if you're trapped in a whirlpool caused by a rapid. I'm fairly certain if I'm flipped into the water and running out of air,
I wouldn't remember what to do.

But in the end, river rafting was a blast.
Intense enough to never get boring but not so intense that we were frightened.
I went over the edge once but wasn't too worried about it. Our guide just pulled me back in.

We had beautiful weather while on the water.
Tonight we went into town, La Fortuna, for shopping and dinner.
Some confusion about dinner, so a walk around town then back to a place near our hotel for dinner.
And then it started pouring. Love these afternoon showers.
