Hawaiian Highlights

We've Arrived!
And Emi (and therefore her parents) did great on the flight.
A couple of times I walked back to their seats and took Emi on a little walk.
Once she lasted a full five minutes before crying and the next time twenty.
Her noise-cancelling headphones Marty thought to buy were not only darling,
but worked really great to help her sleep!

As for me, you know you're in First Class when four hours in to a six hour flight (plus an additional two hours sitting on the tarmac waiting to leave) the pilots announce just two hours left
and you think "Oh good, I'll have time to finish my book!"

Photo shoot with Emi while we waited for luggage.

Because our flight was so delayed, Michael and Courtney were asleep when we arrived,
but the next morning, while it was still dark outside, we heard quiet laughs and chatter
and we knew the couple with a baby and the couple from the east coast were awake.

Dan and I took Emi on our morning walk while the kids went to breakfast.
She was great for 2.5 miles. Unfortunately we were 2.5 miles away from our hotel when she started to get upset and Grandma & Grandpa clearly overestimated how much she'd enjoy a long walk with us. 😂

Eating sand!

Dan, Nick and Marty played in the waves.
We hung out in loungers.
Courtney & Michael picked up a bike for Michael's ride around the North shore tomorrow.
Lunch by the pool.
Boys all went golfing.
Courtney worked on her dissertation.
Naps, reading, hot tubbing.
Dinner at Coconuts.
Early Hawaii time/Late East coast time to bed.

Marty bleached his hair for the trip!

Nick's still got highlights from his last bleaching.
And when did the boys' hair get curly?
