Dan had a lunch meeting at Deer Valley and after my beautiful ski day yesterday,
I offered to meet up with him afterward, ski and the we could watch the aerial competition.
It was beautiful and sunny, just like yesterday, for exactly one run.
Then clouded over and was gusty up top. But we got in five runs
then had great seats for the ladies' team
We ate dinner at Snow Park lodge,
came home and quick changed out of ski clothes
to make our movie, "A Man Called Otto."
(Based off of the book, A Man Called Ove. Great movie, book is even better.)
After the movie, we sat in the hot tub, only Dan slipped on black ice covering the sidewalk between the poolhouse and hot tub. He crashed down flat and I had visions of a repeat of Daren's accident,
but his head didn't hit, his back and elbow were bruised but fine.
He sprained his wrist, but that's it. We were so relieved.
Nick had a basketball game tonight and 10-midnight rugby practice
(the only time they can get a turn at the U's indoor fieldhouse).
Diane sent me this from the game:
Just as we were brushing our teeth to crawl into bed at 10:30,
Chris called to see if we wanted to come bowling!
I declined, but Dan offered a compromise to watch a show together.
What cute boys we have!
