Sisters and Mom Trip to Monterey to celebrate Mom's 75th birthday!
First stop, Mom & Dimitrios' home for lunch and to see the new projects.s
Highlights: giant succulents, wisteria, homemade olives, salad with miner's leaf lettuce (naturally growing all over the property), new family room built-ins, shelves & desk from naturally weathered wood, apartment & laundry remodel, amazing organization, round pen and carriage house. Sun.
Stopped at a beach on the way to see the Sunset...
Highlights: fitting all of us and our luggage in the car, being together.
Lowlight: Speed Trap
Arrived at our VRBO in Carmel, drew names to see who sleeps with who,
then off to a late dinner in town.
Highlights: fantastic location, darling house, newly remodeled, plenty of space to gather and so comfortable. Great food. Family style eating wherever we went.
Not being in charge :-)
Stayed up late talking, but not too late (midnight, maybe?)
We haven't stopped talking, of course. Or laughing. Or taking photos.
