Point Lobos

Surprisingly, after our late night, we still woke up to chat with everyone in the living room and get more insight on the Disneyland VIP pass. (A lady on a podcast I listen to said it was great. Michelle had friends who had used it and loved it. And then we discover Rebekah had used it! And concurs its the best.

Breakfast with Richard & Suzanne in downtown Carmel then a little bit of window shopping afterward.
There are so many galleries and shops and we only went down one street.
Another thing to look forward to on another visit!

My mom's friend new a lady who rents out her property to friends and friends of friends. My mom wanted us to see it. It's in an amazing location. We didn't want to intrude, but they insisted it was fine.

Well it was amazing! An acre beachfront property -- my guess is that's practically unheard of in the area. Her parents built it in the 70's as a vacation getaway. Later they bought the house next door which happens to be the oldest house in Carmel (1840's) and is the most charming place you've ever seen.

The owner lives in the house and rents the "vacation house" out. She was gracious opened both homes to us to look through. She was smart and talented and so interesting. So fun!

Then to Point Lobos to hike and wander. Beautiful!

Sea Otters!

"Wonder Twin Powers, Activate!"
(boob version)

Now Angela is laughing so hard she's peeing her pants.
(Not to worry, Thinx pee-proof undies to the rescue.)

Time for Bekah to whip up a charcuterie board for snacks and chatting before getting ready for dinner.
I have to say, everyone is MUCH FASTER getting ready than ever before.

We took 17-mile drive to see the beautiful homes and views and watch the sunset before going to Spanish Bay Club for dinner.

We asked a man to take our picture and we really wanted the sun in the background.
That made him really uncomfortable, and finally he said, "I'm a photographer. You really need to stand over here." So we did as we were told and the light really was better. As was the wind.

We waited until he left and then Michelle took our photo with the sun in the back.

One fun thing we did was to take turns, youngest to oldest, telling all about life.
Kids, husbands, themselves. Hobbies, plans, new developments etc.
Of course these catch-up sessions were interrupted by many other conversations that cropped up,
but we always got back to the current teller until they were finished. We got through everyone late tonight.
It was really fun, and I'm sure we wouldn't have heard about a lot of important things if we hadn't made time to specifically talk about them!

These two were always the first to conk out. Some things never change!
Michelle had to leave at 4:30 a.m. to catch her flight back home.
This trip went TOO fast!
But I'm SO glad we did it!
I haven't laughed this much for this many days in a long long time.
