Ranch for the 4th

Pagosa Weekend!
We're meeting Courtney and Michael this weekend and bringing Carine too.
Michael's friends arrive Tuesday for a guys trip, and I get to stay with Courtney.
Pagosa cancelled their fireworks this year while they were in a drought,
so Shaeffer boys all go home to get a 4th celebration with friends.

We were REALLY limited with weight on the flight and were pulling every extra
from our luggage including face wash, toothpaste, etc. (except I was determined to bring the 35 lb rug)!
Had to ditch the nightstand and books, but we have Kershaw and Carine's dog, Sam.

Meanwhile Courtney and Michael's flight got cancelled so there was some
last minute rescheduling and they were mad packing to get on a flight in the morning rather than later that night like they'd expected. (But that means we got extra time together!)

Reusable grocery bags are a game changer for the first shopping trip when we arrive.

When Chris and Nick ask "Mom, don't you want to ride three in a row next to your boys?"
Yes, yes I do.

The old plow truck missing half the drivers seat with foam sticking out and oil cans on the dash
is such a draw for the boys. They always want to drive it.

They wanted to check the river at old camp for fishing potential.

Nick had success!

Yay, they're here!
(Flew to Denver and drove Marty's car the five.five hours to Pagosa.)
