It’s Nice in Nice

We made it to Nice and it’s pretty freakin hot.
Heat Wave all over Europe and I was really regretting the long pants I wore on the plane.

First item of business when we got to our hotel was to change into bathing suits and lunch across the street at a beachside restaurant, on the Promenade de Anglais, Le Galet. Lots of action and the Mediterranean is so inviting!!
We thought we may swim, but we forgot towels and the hotel pool sounded easier. We’re still feeling so tired from the time change.

But we were dying to cool off.
So after lunch straight to the pool.
We swam and napped while we waited for our room to be ready. (Nick and Miles’ was open so we could change there.)

Then napped a little more then headed for a walk and dinner in Old Town. Everyone is out and the streets were crowded with restaurants and people in the best of ways.

We chose a place with live music and a couple of couples who danced the whole time.
Best ambiance and a delicious Italian dinner.

Except that the waiter stole our F-1 t’s we’d just bought and left on accident. (When the boys ran back he said he didn’t see them before they even asked if he’d seen the bag.)

Ice cream and crepes on the way home. I was hitting a wall about now. Time for bed!

Pro tip: at hotel
Check in when they ask if you’d like to upgrade and your tired husband says, “it’s up to you,”
Say yes!

Nick and Miles toasting with sparkling water when they visited our room before dinner.
