Kayaking on Williams

We kayaked on Williams Reservoir with the new kayaks today.
Unfortunately the pump didn't get put in the bag, but fortunately some girls near us let us borrow theirs.
Unfortunately it was the wrong size. But fortunately if we pumped really fast more air went in than out and Courtney was quick to plug the hole when we needed a rest.
Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures while we were out on the lake,
but fortunately we had a fun time even without documentation.
Kayaked clear over to the other side.

More study of Cimarrona. The prominent peak to the left of the photo.

Fortunately Courtney included both the real Cimarrona and Dad's Cimarrona along with Pagosa Peak in the pillow she cross-stitched. And she didn't even know it was the real Cimarrona at the time.
Our three favorite peaks.

That night John was in charge of dinner. I've heard so many stories about John's legendary cooking skills and ability to conjure meals from the most random of leftovers.

Tonight was planned and was pretty amazing:
lemon pasta, roasted chickpeas and arugala salad with avocado dressing.

I've loved getting to know Michael's friends and see another part of his life and backstory!
