Traditions and JCW's

Some years Cornbelly's is freezing. And some years is mild.
But this is the first time in over ten years (twelve?) we've been rained out!
We had dinner at JCW's anyway. Because its tradition.

Abby and Mikey missed for the first time because... new baby, Stella!!
And Parker had to work. And of course Courtney and Michael live in NYC.

Yesterday the Soukup kids came over to play with Kershaw and said they liked our decorations.
But where was the black skeleton spider?
And didn't we used to have a big spider web inside?

I couldn't disappoint the neighbors!
So I got right on it and had both spiders hung before they went home.

When I had a glass of orange juice, I almost reached for the juice glasses
but stopped myself just in time. I can't pass up the chance to use Halloween cups!

Also, looking for a highlighter today and god sidetracked by memories.
"Courtney's things. Please do not touch."
Ah...remember when.

And still hanging on to the keyboard covers Kathy gave us that her step-mom invented
that Carlthorp used! Courtney used these when she taught keyboarding lessons to the 5th and 6th graders when she was in 9th grade. And I don't have the heart to get rid of them. They're super valuable!
And sentimental.

And the marker bucket.
Which was actually a gift from Goldsberry's one year filled with caramel popcorn...
or was it chex mix? Some yummy treat.
