Sunny Winter?

When we moved to Chicago in 1995, one thing stood out in the winter. The Sun. I remember saying often, "It's so cold, but the sun is always shining. I don't mind the winter when the sun is shining!"

As we were slogging through the Utah inversion this year, it dawned on me that the reason sunny Chicago winters seemed so special, is it was the first time I'd realized the sun could shine in the winter. Living in Utah, you just get used to the inversion and months of gray.

There are places where the sun shines all winter! Mind blown!!

Playing in the snow on a sunny Chicago winter day!

Courtney looks a little cold!
