Best Lake Day

One of the greatest things about having our boat is that it lives on a slip on the lake. We just zip up there in 35 min. It takes 5 min. to unsnap the covers and we're boating. No loading the boat with the gear. No backing the car (truck now) up to hitch it on. No pulling it up the canyon. No transferring gear to the boat. No waiting in line at the lake to back it down the ramp. No pulling the car and trailer to park and running back down to the dock while the boaters wait to pick the driver up. No reverse process when its dark and you're tired. On the lake IS SO EASY.

So yesterday Nick called Dan and said, "Dad, can we go boating tonight?" And Dan said, "Sure!" And Nick called 3 friends and we had the best evening. No crowds, perfect weather, warmish water, and by the end of the evening the water was glass. The boys surfed, power boarded and wake boarded. Two of the boys had never surfed or wake boarded before and both got up!

Nick getting ready to try for some air. He did get a little and when he came back on the boat said,
"Now I'm ready to go to Chicago and boat with the Paul's!"
He's so excited to spend a few days with his cousins. They're pretty amazing wakeboarders
so he wanted to make sure he remembered how!

Learning how to drive the boat back to the slip!

Folded all the laundry today. Ummm... Dan needs some more variety in t-shirt colors!
