A Christmas Party!!!

We had THE MOST fun night eating, singing and playing games at Jo and Kelly's!
We've been going to Jo's for Christmas parties since we were first married.
And they are the best example of having a few simple plans,
making a fun night transformed to a PARTY!
(And most of us have had Covid, alleviating those concerns.)

I loved gathering and eating on the Christmas dishes!
Kelly made beef bourguignon over mashed potatoes with delicious rolls and salad.
And red and gold alternating cups of sparkling cider. Felt so wonderful and festive.

Even Stella was dressed up.

After dinner we played lots of games for dollar store wrapped up prizes.
(I've got to remember all these details so I can copy when I've got grandkids!)
Pool, darts, corn hole, and a reading lips game that apparently I am really talented at!

After games we sang christmas songs.
Claire and Colin were our helpers, (and a huge part of why it was so fun singing songs),
They took turns choosing a paper Christmas Tree with a song written on the back.
Dan pulled up the YouTube karaoke versions on TV so we all had music and words.

I loved digging into my Music Makers bin in search of music props! (It's been so long!)
And of course we brought the microphone for featured singers to take the stage.

Jingle Bells (I brought bells to... well, jingle),
Up on the Rooftop (clackers for the click's...and the bells),

Must Be Santa was my most genius idea with props so everyone could get involved!
Totally going to become a tradition!

...Reindeer sleigh, come our way...

Ho, Ho, Ho, cherry nose,
cap on head

...suit that's red,
special night, beard that's white!

Must Be Santa, Must Be Santa, Must Be Santa, Santa Claus!

We also sang Joy to the World,
I'm getting Nuttin' for Christmas (requested by Kory)
and a final song requested by Claire: Let it Snow.
And then a final, final song requested by Colin:
Jingle Bells, Batman Smells.
And in case you're wondering, they have all the words, karaoke version, on YouTube.

So much happiness!
