The Music Man

Today I really did hang out at the hotel and work on my writing all day (and surf and blog as well) while Courtney and Michael worked from their apartment. Also, it snowed!

Tonight we had dinner at their apartment then went to the The Music Man with Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster. It was phenomenal! Extra long dance scenes were added to 76 trombones, Marian, the Librarian, and Shiopoopi, with fantastic choreography. They were mesmerizing especially with such young people performing. The show kicked off with the train scene, of course, and the movement of the salesmen was perfection. From that moment you knew it was going to be a good time! Hugh Jackman was so entertaining and looked like he was having a ball. He and Sutton even breaking the fourth wall a couple of times laughing. The audience went wild.

I could practically recite the whole production by heart from listening to the record with Michelle endlessly in our childhood, watching the movie once a year on TV, then reliving the show again and again as we danced and sang along to the songs on the record for another year.

I was smiling the whole time -- under my mask, of course. And singing along in my head.

All of us absolutely loved it!
