Sitting & Standing Around

Picked up the iPhone 13 MINI today which meant a 45 minute wait in line even though I had an appointment scheduled. Listened to a podcast while I waited which is a whole new sense of freedom being able to do something productive instead of whiling away minutes surfing social media.

Loving SharonSaysSo Instagram feed and podcasts for an unbiased look at headlines and government.

Nick and friends came home during an assembly and looks like they needed some chill time.

This afternoon we head to New York for the weekend.
Looking forward to having hours on end sitting on a plane to read my book!
The Woman They Could Not Silence, by Kate Moore
biography of Elizabeth Packard who was committed to an insane asylum by her husband because she disagreed with his religious beliefs in 1860!
Women were not afforded a trial or any opportunity to speak for themselves regarding the matter in Illinois at that time, and disagreeing with your husband among many, many other things
(disheveled appearance, losing your temper, unfeminine qualities, etc. were all proof of insanity at the time! Eek!)
