Pagosa with the Fam

Just as we were about to taxi down the runway, our pilot aborted takeoff
because the luggage door wasn't closed properly so the plane wouldn't pressurize.

We've had some bad luck with mechanical issues our last couple of flights.
We deplaned and waited in the lobby while our pilot called mechanical.
Couldn't get the door figured out, but another plane was available, so they sent it to pick us up.

When the aviation company said they were sending the G-200,
Dan said, "Uh-oh, you guys won't want to fly in the CJ or Pilatus after being in this."
We all laughed because obviously we're not THAT spoiled.

And then we boarded the plane. And he wasn't kidding. It was NICE!

Seats for 11 with tons of leg space and reclining options.
And blankets & pillows.

Can't have regular water bottles in the G-200. Gotta be Fiji.

This wasn't the only mix-up today.
Look who joined us when the boarding kennel was full.
(They'd declined our reservation via e-mail, but it went to my junk folder.
Loaded up and on our way to the airport, so the only option was to bring him!)

When we arrived in Pagosa much later than anticipated, we ate a quick Mexican dinner
(at Santy's Taco joint that's pretty good by City Market).
Afterward, we got to the store for groceries at 8:00 and it had just closed.
Fortunately Walmart was still open. Made it to camp before 10:00 p.m.
No taillights on the Landcruiser, but it runs well.

Happy to be in Pagosa with the fam for Labor Day.
