Devil's Castle via Cecret Lake

So glad KT got me in the mountains today!
Yellow aspens and orange trees were gorgeous.

We hiked to Devil's Castle via Cecret Lake.

Pretty steep to Devil's Castle, but not too far (less than one mile from Cecret to Devil's).
The views were fantastic.

Pittsburgh Lake on one side...

... Cecret on the other

Best surprise was the bench up top someone had made from shale.

I was hoping KT brought nectarines from her tree again and she did.

Brought home a piece of shale -- so much of it was perfectly square --
and had to contrast with the very round rocks we found at the tide pools in Oregon.
