Fun 24 hours in Phoenix to celebrate Jacob and Amanda's wedding.
Dan & I flew in with Jo & Kelly in the morning
and met EC & Erin for lunch then to Gram's to visit and relax before the wedding
where we met up with Kristin & Duncan.
Jacob and Amanda were married in her lovely backyard with a few friends and family.
Amanda's wedding dress was blue and asked that everyone not wear that "hue!"
She had found a dress she loved and enlisted Erin to help add a hoop and skirt and
lace train/cape. The skirt came off so she could wear the shorter dress afterward.
Jake sewed his own bow tie that matched her dress! They both are so artistically talented
and looked beautiful, handsome and so happy.
We had a wonderful afternoon and evening with Dan's brothers, sister, in-laws and mom,
including James & Lauren, Ian and baby Norah.
Amanda's family were equally as wonderful and welcoming. I think my favorite part were the speeches and toasts by her dad, Marty, her best friend and sister.
Oh, and Erin & Jake (and Amanda and her dad) dancing to Twist & Shout!
Meanwhile, back at home, Nick grilled salmon and made mashed red potatoes and
brussell sprouts for him and his buddies.
