Today Marty graduated from college!
He'll walk in April with Lizzie when both of their graduations are official
(and hopefully we'll get celebratory photos in their caps and gowns on campus.)
But all tests and classes are done!
When Marty started taking business classes, Dan loved that they could discuss business on a whole new level and Marty understood it so well. I loved hearing them speak "the same language" and was always impressed at how well Marty caught on to everything so quickly. He's always been so good at remembering what he's been taught.
We're so happy for him that he's done so well and
has great things to look forward to in the next phase of life!
First day of BYU -- August 2016 |
Marty and Lizzie, last semester of BYU, September 2021 |
Tonight the first of our Christmas vacation festivities was a Grizzlies Hockey Game.
It was Chris' idea and as luck would have it, Utah was playing Wichita.

And his quarantine was officially over!
But, Chris ended up getting a better offer and skipped out. Nick decided to bail too.

We got Marty, but Lizzie had a previous commitment to attend one of her student's dance performances.
We couldn't buy only five seats because that left a single open, so we invited Carine to come along.
The store was out of the pre-made Pillsbury crusts we buy for Dan's chicken pot pie,
so Courtney made them instead. Granted, the ingredients aren't hard, but it's something I rarely think about because I'm simply not confident doing it, but she made it look easy and was perfectly confident and I was very impressed.
Michael was a hockey player all his life -- even playing on a men's team in college
so it was fun to have an expert with us!
