Christmas Movies Every Night? Yes Please.

We've watched a couple Christmas movies together as a family on Sundays. Remember how Dan chose Miracle on 34th Street and Chris and Nick ended up really liking it? Last Sunday we watched Home Alone 2. (It was Chris' turn to pick.)

But there are so many more -- so many rom coms -- that the boys were never going to pick, obviously. So Dan and I have watched a movie together every night this week. And we've said a few times, "What if our life was like this all the time? Where we didn't have anything to do each night but watch a movie together." It sounds actually very simple and calm. He hasn't been traveling as much lately, and it has been nice to have evenings that are more calm. And it helps that he does Elders Quorum visits on the same night me and Nick and Chris have Mutual (do we call it that again?).

Sunday: Home Alone 2. Monday: The Holiday. Tuesday: Serendipity. Wednesday: About a Boy. Thursday: Four Christmases. (If you need recommendations, The Holiday was good. About a Boy is one of my favorites. Serendipity is ok but frustrating. And Four Christmases is not really that good at all.

Also, Courtney got home tonight! Yay!

And in other important news... The Christmas tree is still alive! Amazing! We have only managed to keep it alive the entire season one other time in our whole Shaeffer Family history! It's still drinking a whole pitcher per day. We were going through 2/day -- one in the morning and one at night for the first week or two. Way to go tree! (And us! A lot attributed to Nicholas who is very responsible for remembering to water. I am also very responsible, so when one of us forgets, the other remembers.)
