Thundersnow

Last night Dan and I were watching The Great British Baking Show at about 9:30 p.m.
when suddenly lightning lit up the night and thunder followed right after.
Within seconds it was snowing so hard we had 2" within minutes.

This morning we woke up to 11" of snow and cancelled school!

It took Dan about two hours to plow the driveway, even getting high centered on the ATV
and then he headed up with Chad and Gregg to work at Alta for a few hours.

A few of Nick's friends came over to do school at our house.
Marty and Lizzie showed up to use the computers for Lizzie's Zoom school
(hers was cancelled too) and Marty took his last final.
He's officially done with college!!

Chris also had an online final and I went down the street for a Christmas lunch at a neighbor's house.
We've never gathered the women in our few streets with school-aged children.
There's an invisible boundary where two wards come together, so it seems like you don't get to know someone who lives just down the street because they're in another ward.
But these were friends of mine when our kids were in elementary school and it was so fun to reconnect and catch-up! It was a lovely lunch of twelve women and I hope, hope, hope we make it a tradition!

When I got home it was time to get the house ready to host the Cottonwood work party.
About 75 people braved the snow and showed up. So fun to see so many good friends and meet new people from Dan's work.

Also, Michael and Courtney moved into their new apartment today.
Got the last of everything moved over, but they'll be up early to catch a plane home to Utah for the holiday!!
