Poet who Didn't Know It

Our world is white!
The first snow isn't always magical, but this one was perfect!
Snow falling all day Thursday and continuing today.
Winter gray set the perfect mood.
I turned on the Christmas tree lights first thing in the morning.
It's that kind of day.

Our workshop assignment was to right an Ode beginning with the prompt:
You, an achilles apple, blushing sweet on a high branch.

I was pretty proud with what I came up with in spite of zero confidence with poetry,
so I shared.

After I wrote a poem in class,
I sewed some new clasps on two pair of Christmas pants to make them fit better and
tried to steam wash the stains in the basement carpet. (Who am I sewing and steaming?)
Also packaged gifts to mail, packaged gifts to deliver
and created a Primary singing time activity. (Thanks for the idea, Lizzie!)

And periodically ran food and sick supplies to Chris who is isolating in the guest room.
He's got a fever, congestion and headache, but is grateful for the perfect timing.
Classes are done and he can take his finals online. He's not so sick that he can't study.

Christmas music all day.
Finished the night going to dinner with Dan and staying up late watching The British Baking Show (which we love) then Baking It with Maya Rudolph and Andy Samberg (Would not recommend. Very frenetic.)

All is Merry and Bright.
