Mean Girls & Ramen

We met Marty and Lizzie downtown to see Mean Girls.

Becca Petersen has been filling in as Karen on the National Tour so we were hoping to see her as a lead, but tonight she was in the ensemble. Still fun to know someone in the cast though.

And in fact, Dave Hall, Nick & Chris' old sax and clarinet teacher, was playing six different instruments in the orchestra! (Flute, saxophone, clarinet and three other instruments that look like clarinets & saxophones.)

Not often a regular person like me knows two people performing in a Broadway play!

When we came home, Nick and his friends were making a giant pot of Ramen.

22 packages, to be exact. They were very excited about the endless proportions.
It's one thing to rip open a ramen package, and quite another
opening 22 of those tiny seasoning packets, That's a lot of work.

They wanted to have a sleepover.
The kitchen was pretty messy so I asked them to clean it up before bed.
Also that they not stay up late because Winter's Formal is tomorrow
and I didn't want them exhausted on their date.

When I woke up Saturday morning, the kitchen was spotless. Amazing, boys!

(Also, my temporary crown fell off this afternoon while eating a late lunch.
I absolutely have not eaten anything sticky, crunchy or hard. And still...
Too late on a Friday to see the dentist, of course. Ugh.)
