The Titanic

The way the sun was hitting the mountains this morning reminded me of the view
from our master bedroom in the Wander Lane house.
I went outside on the deck to pray and enjoy the beauty of first light.

Lots to be thankful for.
As I was giving thanks for my husband who understands financial stuff and is such a great
business guy, I looked up and saw him way down below walking up the path.
I could tell it was him.

When we went down to breakfast, the restaurant buffet was closed.
They were offering sit-down service, but after today all restaurants on site would be closing.
We asked if the hotel would be continuing other services like the pool and keeping beaches open.
They simply don't know!

But not to worry, we had fun plans. This morning we had our Island Star trip.
It never gets old.
Always a great crew, delicious food and so peaceful sailing and whale watching.

Lots of whale activity all around us on this trip.
Lots of backs swimming along the ocean, blowing, movement and tails.
One baby even swam right next to the boat under the water.
No huge displays close, but a few breeches in the distance.

We snorkeled and saw several turtles up close!

Captain Brian teaching Nick how to put out a fishing line.

On the Island Star they served fruit, chips and guac, veggies and shrimp.
(Documentation for the future when we wonder if we should order onboard lunch or not.
No. Because so much food is already provided!)

After our trip, we had Acai bowls for lunch at Wow Wow Lemonade (Yum!)
and ate them on the grass at the park.

When we got back to the hotel, we were able to move into our villa.
They moved us into a 3 bedroom for the same price as the two, and we also got a spot on the grass. Yay!
We laid out on chairs on the grass in front and enjoyed a few hours of talking and sun
before it was time to go out to dinner.
Nick's Fishhouse for the adults (since it was our last night of eating out).
And the kids ordered pizza back at the room.

What a sunset!

Another guy at the restaurant came to get his photo taken after us.
His comment, "It feels like it's our last night on the Titanic."
Seriously. Everything is so weird.
