Nephews!

Isaac and three friends came to Utah on Thursday to ski for a few days. They stayed with us a few nights (after skiing all day) and we loved getting to know them -- and were so happy they wanted to stay here! (And hot tub!)

I interrupted what sounded like a high action movie to take this photo. The movie was actually Kung Fu Panda.

Curtis is staying with us this upcoming week while his parents and Clark visit Clark's mission in Mexico. We're excited to have an extra kid in the house this week!

Side note... while we were planning the pool and hot tub, we wondered hot to get the hot tub closer to the house. For design, we preferred it where it is -- on the far side of the pool, on the opposite side of the yard. But we were disappointed thinking it wouldn't be as functional for the family in the winter. Summer, no one would hot tub because its hot. Winter, when everyone wanted to soak after skiing or being cold, no one would want to trudge back and forth across the snow or even just the cold to get there. We were bummed. We even considered (for only a second) putting in a second hot tub off the guest house in the very back.)

But my sister Rachel said, "Of course you'll use it! You'll just have a pair of Ugg slip ons that are your "walk to the hot tub" shoes. Put on a robe, slip on your Uggs and walk across the yard. You'll warm up in the hot tub and won't mind the walk back because you're hot." With renewed hope, we moved forward with the original plan. And she was so right! We use the hot tub all the time! In the summer and the winter! Our slip-on Ugg slippers work perfectly! Thanks, Rach!
