Chris has had some cool miracles as a missionary that he's shared with us
(night baptism under the stars, skateboarding friends, that Church group in Kansas).

I hope he's written these down in his journal and more.
I hope he wrote this week's experience in his journal. He said he would.
But just in case, I'll share it here.
On Sunday they were on splits and thought they'd be returning to their own areas soon, so hadn't been too focused on teaching after church. When they got word they wouldn't be transferring until later, they picked themselves up and made a plan for the day, choosing to go to the church to teach online lessons so they wouldn't have the distractions of home and they could dig in and be more focused.
They normally fast for 24 hours, Saturday afternoon to Sunday, but Chris had forgotten Saturday at lunch,
so was still fasting when they went to the ward to work.
Several hours later when they finished teaching and got ready to head home, the security guard for the building stopped them. "I overheard you teaching and I really liked what I heard."
The Elders, casually responded with, "Thanks! What barrio are you in?"
(Barrio in Spanish means neighborhood, but its also how they refer to church congregations.)
The man described his neighborhood, not his congregation, and Chris realized he wasn't a member so asked him if he wanted to know more. He replied that he did and also thought his family would like to learn as well. They didn't belong to any particular church at the moment and were looking for one.
Chris attributed this miracle of someone approaching them and wanting to know more because they had repented from taking time off earlier, were fasting, and were working hard. I love how often the spirit guides us with nudges and little thoughts that we might not recognize as promptings until considered later.
"Why don't we go to the church to teach? I think we'll be more focused there."
"Why don't we go to the church to teach? I think we'll be more focused there."
It seems like that decision wouldn't make a difference. But as it turned out, that was exactly where somebody was who was looking to know more about God
