First day of... work!
Nick started training today at Utah Olympic Park.
He'll be working several days a week, 9-5, carpooling with some friends.
Training today included the free fall and sled. Tomorrow is zip lines.
Marty had his first day of Deloitte (online).
He and Lizzie are staying here this week, sleeping in the guest room,
officing in his bedroom.
Lots of HR details today, and general info.
Looking forward to actually getting real work on Wednesday.
Lizzie is commuting down to Provo for classes all day.
(Two of her siblings are in town before moving across the country, so they've got Rosen family plans each evening. But love that we get to see them and get details each day!)
Dan had a cold all last week and finally this week was ready to hit the gym again.
After pushing it and feeling strong for his full workout,
he picked up a bar to rack it without using proper form and threw his back out.
We don't entirely know what that means, but it feels like what people say it is.
He can move, but slowly, VERY slowly.
Walking actually feels good. Lying feels good. Standing hurts. He's bummed.
I got lined up with a new neighbor for lunch!
At Morgan's wedding, one of Michelle's friends from California said her best friend from there had just moved here and was in my neighborhood.
Had a great visit, lots of hubby stuff in common and kids similar ages.
3:00 -- I came home and soon after Marty finished work (3:00 ish because they're on Eastern Time).
I loved getting a report on his day.
4:00 -- Soon Lizzie got home so heard about her day and had a fun conversation with the two of them about pet peeves, culture that makes us shake our heads and when college students aren't listening respectfully in class (Courtney, we were wanting your take since you and Lizzie...and Nick... are similar students who actually want to learn!)
5:00 -- Courtney called so I got to get caught up with her.
5:30 -- Chris called. He had a great week with zone conferences, helping the president get some new houses ready for new areas just opened and a wonderful miracle on Sunday.
6:00 -- Nick came home and reported on his first day.
Love these days when I hear from the whole family!
