Courtney and Michael woke up early to make breakfast burritos for their friends
and then go to Music and the Spoken Word at the Conference Center.
I woke up early to get Monkey Bread in the oven (for a Young Women's Christmas brunch after church) and turkey in the crockpot (for our family dinner tonight).
After we all got home, we had a dream afternoon building Legos,
playing Settlers of Catan and working on a puzzle.
Nick recruited us to help him bring the Winter Village pieces down from the attic to put on display.
Then while some watched the Cowboys get beat, others of us made a turkey dinner with everything Thanksgiving: yams, mashed potatoes, sauteed green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy and cheddar biscuits.
We prepared everything within an hour.
Made me wonder why we slave for days in advance to prepare for Thanksgiving.
This meal was every bit as delicious.
(Thanks to Michael for snapping photos and documenting Christmas Dishes!)
Courtney and Michael took off to a friend party in costume...
And the rest of us cleaned up then headed to Lizzie's house to make gingerbread houses!
It was so fun to meet her parents and sisters.
When we got home, it wasn't too late for a vacation night, so Nick worked on a new Lego set
(Harry Potter in winter), and I made some more progress on the puzzle.
I am reveling in these days we have all together!
