Yayyyyyyy!!!!!! Sister's Trip is HERE!!

How I Love, Love, Love being with my sisters! And to have uninterrupted sister time is such a treat and gift. I would choose a sisters trip over a friends trip ANY day! When Michelle and I were fighting, my mom always said, "You'll be best friends when you grow up." We are, and we have three more best friends to boot. We are blessed.

For two years now I've been saying we need to go to the Air Supply concert together. Between two new babies and new dogs, we weren't able to go all together until now. When I saw they were coming to Beverly Hills, I snatched up tickets and then called to tell them! We decided to stay in Santa Monica and have a long weekend of sun, palm trees, walking, talking and fun!

Sheree getting the perfect angle for her phone
to take a photo on timer. It was worth the effort!

After the lady on the Southwest flight got sucked out the window (Yikes!), it seemed all the airlines were taking extra mechanical precautions. All of our flights were delayed an hour or two or even four! But through texting updates, we didn't have any trouble meeting up. Michelle, Rachel and Sheree arrived near the same time so picked up the rental car and went to a nearby salon while they waited for Rebekah and me.

I walked around to meet Bekah at her terminal, and then the rest of the girls picked us up there. Lots of joyful shouts and hugs!

We headed to Melrose first to get a delicious (and healthy!) lunch at Urth Caffe. Then across the street to Restoration Hardware. The best part at RH was finding beautiful settings for photos!

We spent some time at the Design Center, but it's hard to appreciate if you don't have something you're looking for in mind. Or a designer pointing out shops and items to look at. That evening we drove to our hotel.

It had been quite a chore finding the right place to stay in a budget that everyone felt good about. We tried Air BnB and VRBO but the locations weren't great. Apartments within walking distance of where we wanted to be, but the views would be of... apartments. And parking garages. After more searching, I found the Oceana Beach Club Hotel on Hotels.com. Suite rooms at a price we could all feel good about. (Or get talked into feeling good about!) So we could all stay in the same room with a pull-out couch and a rollaway. Only one bath, but that was ok and PLENTY of room. It was perfect.

It did have a weird smell. Kind of like vintage. Or old lady. But Sheree spread a little lavender around and it made a big difference.

We walked to Sushi Roku for dinner and got right in. It was Delicious! We all love sushi and I tried some new things I hadn't tried before. Yum. After dinner we walked back home and hung out. We actually went to bed kind of early for us -- I think about 11! Which is amazing and good because usually when we're together here we stay up Waaaaayyyy to late!
