Flower Market, London Eye and Self-Imposed Walking Tour

Dan and I went to Columbia Flower Market while Kurt & Tiff went to church with Kate.
All the stalls of gorgeous flowers, including hydrangea blooms as big as my head,
have me ready for summer!
But before I get to anxious, i got a text from Marge that its snowing in SLC!

The Saturday flower market is set up on one side of the street and darling shops on the other.
We shared a cardamom bun to try something different.

We walked from the flower market over to Spitalfield Market, crafts by local artisans.
However the crafts weren't very compelling or unique, nor was the area.
It's a skip.

But it was fun to see a Banksy origial nearby!

We learned on our bike tour that dragons mark the perimeter of
The Town of London.

We took an Uber back to SoHo
and had fun walking every level of Liberty London Department Store,
known for their cute fabrics and patterns.

I got a wallet and splurged on a couple cute things for Emi!
(Because baby stuff is the cutest!)

I love the covers of these Classic book titles!

And these!

We also peeked into Hamley's toy store, which seems identical to FAO Schwartz.

And took the iconc red phone booth picture.

We met up with the Wickhams for lunch at a little French restaurant

Then stuffed ourselves with dessert at EL&N which was super decadent!

Then Dan had a plan to walk through the whole city, basically.
So we did!
We stopped at the National Gallery and did a loop around the impressionists.

How every mother knows this feeling of every single one of your children clinging to you
(a lovely, beautiful feeling of "always room for one more," and and it's been around for hundreds,
probably thousands of years and so important, someone thought to paint it!

Trafalgar Square with Big Ben in the background.

Through the graffiti tunnel again,

Past the Tate and the Globe and over to the London Eye.

The Eye had great views of the city!

And then we walked another mile, all the way to Tower Bridge, and finally took a taxi to dinner.
We're averaging about ten walking miles a day!

SoHo is super crowded and a little overwhelming moving around.
We're not sure we'll stay there again next time,
although we liked the nightlife (and loved the hotel!) better than our first spot.

We found a restaurant that would take us at 9:30,
had a wonderful meal and finally had sticky toffee pudding for dessert,
something Dan has been craving since Day 1.

Back at the hotel, we said our goodbyes to the Wickhams since we leave early tomorrow morning.
We had the best of all worlds--exploring with just Dan and I for a few days,
and then meeting up with good friends with lots to see together as well as lots to catch up on.
Seeing Kate was a big bonus, too.

What I'm most looking forward to about going home is not being tired!
