Harry Potter Library and The Book of Kells

We started the day with breakfast at a pub around the corner from our hotel,
then took Uber's out to Connor McGregor's gym -- the Adair's are big fans.

The kids along with one of the trainers at SBG gym. Super friendly group!
After we went to Trinity College to view the Book of Kells -- a beautifully ornamented Bible decorated in the Celtic style by Irish monks in 800 AD.
It was beautiful.
But my favorite was the College Library (also used in Harry Potter films).

Quad view of Trinity College

Outside the college we got on the Hop On Hop Off double-decker bus to see the city.
It was a great way to get an overview of Dublin. It's a small enough city that in a couple of hours you can see the whole thing. Sitting on the top deck gave a great perspective as well.

St. Patrick's Cathedral. We also saw the ginormous Guinness Factory, their town park (twice as big as Central Park -- but less trees and flat grass). The US Embassy and the President's homes were also in the park.

A cathedral that was turned into a distillery.

Typical Dublin neighborhood.
Another view of the Ha'Penny bridge

Buffet at O'Neill's. Find a table then go line up for food at the buffet.
Potatoes, cabbage, beets, chicken thighs. An Dublin local favorite.

Murphy's ice cream. I had Irish brown bread and it was actually really good!

Our first Christmas decorations!
We ate at Hard Rock Cafe tonight.
Yes, its touristy, but you know what to expect, it's big so can accommodate a large group and the music was great!
