AND the Amaryllis you gave me for Christmas is a great trooper who is showing one leaf evidence that it is not willing to quit and go dormant any time soon! So, if it wants to still be here, I'll keep on giving it water. The other leaves couldn't keep hanging on and just dried up and withered away a long time ago.
So, I guess a moral could be: if you decide to NOT GIVE UP!, you can hold onto life a little longer if someone notices you and gives you a little care and attention.
