Like everyone else in the country, our family did some service in exchange for a day at Disneyland. What a great incentive to get our whole family working together thinking about someone else!We headed to the Magic Kingdom over President's Day Weekend and had a great time!
The last time we were there was 4 years ago which is significant because it means that last time we were there Marty was Chris' age and Chris was Nick's age. Significant to us, at least...
We stayed at the newly remodeled Disneyland Hotel which I highly recommend -- so nice to be so close! Last time we stayed at the Grand Californian which is beautiful, but I actually prefer the Disneyland Hotel because it's more "Disneylandish." The pool is more kid-friendly and you have all the same benefits -- early check-in to California Adventure through the Grand entrance on certain days, etc.
Highlights:
Christopher didn't break anything when he hopped the fence and landed on his face
while I was buying tickets the first day we got there.
Seeing Kevin Jonas, his wife and his bodyguard
(who has a name but you have to be under 17 to know it).
Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain
Rider Switch Passes, Fast Passes and Single Rider Line
Figuring out where the cameras were on each ride!
Getting to the Peter Pan ride in the nick of time before the park closed--
thereby avoiding impossibly long lines the rest of the time.
Early entrance on Friday.
The Wickhams!
Toy Story ride at California Adventure and California Screamin'.
Mid-afternoon break at the pool for some and Percy Jackson for others.
Lots of BYU sweatshirts and Utahns.
Riding on Dumbo with Dan didn't feel cheesy at the time.
Long, fun, tiring days with the whole family!

It was a great trip -- and Dumbo was fun -- who cares what it looks like in photos! Just being there early without the lines made it all worthwhile!!!
I love Disneyland! (sigh) It really is one of the happiest places on Earth. It's fun to get back into the blogging world and catch up on what everyone is doing. I've even been blogging again--you'll have to check in to see pictures of my newest little guy.
