It was the Best of Times...

Today was going so great!
Ran 3.5 miles, went to New Testament class,
laundry was in the works, Courtney's senior photos came...

And then I got a great idea!
Add Courtney's Senior photo (the one with the white background)
to THIS wall!

And then in a FLASH, after the Great Idea, came the Great Remembering--
that she will be moving away...
and the tears came as they so often do at the most unexpected times now.
Sigh.

Ok this makes me cry. I still remember that cute little girl who loved princesses and was a great city kid. She has always been a beautiful girl, smart, witty and sincere with a huge heart to boot. You have done an amazing job raising such a great girl! :-) You have a right to cry. Love you both!

I've been crying about Toby leaving for the last couple year. I'm not ready. (Of course neither is he.) I know that he will be okay. But I'm still not ready. It's especially hard with the first one. Maybe it gets easier? (who am I kidding?)

I was telling Morgan today, "Courtney is sending in her college applications this month". As soon as I said it I could picture little 5-year-old Courtney playing with little 1-year-old Morgan in Bel Air--lining up every pair of dress up shoes so Morgan could try each one on. It really wasn't that long ago--was it?

I love the reflection of you crying in the frame of her 5 year old photo. Oh, Angela....I know.
