The Gift of a Perfectly Ordinary Day

My sister posted this on her blog and I loved it so much I'm copying it. Last week we registered Courtney for high school and Marty for Jr. High. We're organizing photos of all the 6th graders from Kindergarten through 6th grade in anticipation of 6th grade promotion and a video I'm helping a friend put together. Watching my kids and their friends grow up through pictures has already made me reflect on how fast the time goes. This author sums it up so well--grab a tissue.

Just completed Ethan's kindergarten registration forms today. Middle School forms for Morgan will arrive any day. Wasn't it just a few days ago when I had three kids under six, all home for most of the day, and I was desperate for just one hour to myself? The days are evaporating!

Sending my oldest off to college last fall, trying to enjoy the next one before she leaves in 1 1/2 years, and realizing I only have 10 years left until there will be no kids left in my house, is sometimes just too much for me to even think about. I LOVED this video and needed to hear it. Thank you so much for posting this. I wish I could have seen this video when my kids were little and could have realized how fast they really do grow up!
